Lithuanian and Greek businesses discover each other in new areas

21-03-2017. Lithuanian-Greek economic and business relations have the potential to grow, and certainly not only in the traditional economic sectors of both countries, such as tourism, the food industry or agriculture. One example of successful new cooperation between Lithuania and Greece is the cooperation between Elsis TS, a Lithuanian engineering and communication technology company, and INTRACOM Defence Electronics (IDE), a Greek defence industry company, which has been established and is developing rapidly. Last year, the companies signed a cooperation, investment and technology transfer agreement, under which an investment project is being implemented in Lithuania, contributing to the development of the capabilities of both the Lithuanian Armed Forces and the Lithuanian defence industry.

Lithuanian Ambassador to Greece Rolandas Kačinskas had the opportunity to hear directly from Tomas Vrubliauskas, CEO of Elsis TS, who participated in a seminar organised by INTRACOM Defence Electronics on 21 March on innovative solutions offered by the defence industry to the armed forces, to get an assessment of the experience of the cooperation between a Lithuanian company creating a high added value with the Greeks.

The seminar was also attended by military and defence industry representatives from Greece, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, the UK, the USA and several other countries.
