Elsis TS will participate in the modernization of Lithuania’s main gas pipelines.

This year, UAB “Elsis TS” signed a strategic subcontracting agreement with UAB “MT Group” and will significantly contribute to the modernization of Lithuania’s gas transmission infrastructure. The project includes the reconstruction of outdated pipeline closure devices in the regions of Elektrėnai, Kaišiadorys, Šakiai, Alytus, Šalčininkai, Kaunas and their integration into an advanced remote control system.

According to the agreement, Elsis TS will be responsible for the design work of the process control and automation (SCADA) section, as well as the installation, programming, commissioning, and testing of SCADA and electrical equipment (grounding, lightning protection). All new closure devices will be integrated into the “Yokogawa CI Server” SCADA system, installed by Elsis TS, and operated by AB “Amber Grid”. This system ensures centralized, reliable, real-time management of the main pipelines across the country.

Tomas Vrubliauskas, CEO of UAB “Elsis TS”: “We are pleased to continue working with partners in implementing strategic energy modernization projects in Lithuania. Modern automation and control solutions are a prerequisite for reliable and safe infrastructure. We will strive to ensure technological advancement and maximum value for the client.”

The modernized system will allow for prompt and safe responses to both planned and unforeseen situations, reduce operational costs, and strengthen the resilience and efficiency of the entire gas transmission system. The work is scheduled to be completed by the first quarter of 2027.
